I am looking for my sister Jeanette whom I have not seen since May 1974 when she visited me in Navy married Quarters at Rowner,Gosport. I have briefly spoken to her on the phone when she visited our parents some years ago, but have not heard from her since. Jeanette has curly auburn hair, and although she was born and lived in Highfields and Woodlands Doncaster, she has lost her Yorkshire accent almost completely, except for the odd key word. She was born at Annesley House, Highfields, Nr Doncaster on 6th July 1956, and lived there until February 1960 when we moved to Woodlands about two miles away. Our parents still live in the same house, but are both in poor health. Mum is almost deaf and has to have a special implanted hearing aid.Dad has Parkinson`s Disease, and is losing his sight. Besides myself, her brother Richard, we have a sister Alison Patricia born on 14th May 1965, and a brother Bernard William Wood born on 18th December 1958.Jeanette went to school at Adwick School(Comprehensive) adjacent to Percy Jackson Grammar School, with which it became amalgamated after the abolition of Grammar Schools. Her Grandmother Edith Emma Horton who lived at Lonsdale Avenue,Intake, Doncaster has died. A disagreement between Jeanette and her Grandma is thought to be the reason for her leaving home, all those years ago.Whatever the real reason is or was it should have been forgiven or forgotten by now, and we would dearly like to get in touch with her. She has never met my sons Karl or Kevin(27 and 21 respectively) or my stepdaughter Linda, who lives in Plymouth.She has met mywife Elaine on two occasions, at our swedding in Kirk Sandall,Doncaster in 1973, and again on the aforementioned visit.Jeanette was last know to be living in Hastings, but the has been no sightings of her for quite some time now.Wherever you are Jeanette, please get in touch.You can contact me via this site,or contact me at work on
